Since the move I’m actually able to see what I have more easily, the benefits of downsizing. I haven’t worn this skirt in a over a year so I really wanted to bring it back into rotation. I’d forgotten how lovely the colour is and next time I want to wear it with my red lace top.  I added the Eagle necklace from Zara to play up the burgundy tones in the top and the DVF bag contrasts nicely. I would have loved to finish this look with my lavender loubs, but I had back to back meetings. The thought of the crippling pain that comes with those shoes means I can only wear them when I know alcohol is involved :-)

Zara is one of my favorite places to shop, but this season I’m really struggling to find things I love. It doesn’t help that when you live in a hot country the winter range never looks as strong as the summer, but they have totally gone overboard with the studs. H&M on the other hand have got the right mix, and I’m loving quite a few pieces from there.

This top is from H&M and come with a matching pencil skirt, which I didn’t get as the length was on the hoochy line for work. The top has a beige almost scallop print detail on it, making it look like tapestry fabric. I paired it with the sequin skirt as I wanted to play up the different textures.

I was really lucky today to hear some amazing tips on how to look after luxury leather, suede and patent shoes and bags, during a training session on the footwear brands we carry. I was blown away with how in-expensive the tips were, so this weekend I’m going to try them. I have a feeling they will be very effective, so of course I will share with you, it would be rude not to ;-) .

I got this jacket in the final markdown section in Reiss, and I know I wasn’t meant to get any more jackets. But I loved this at the start of the season and I still loved it at the end of the season. It’s such a classic shape and I love how the fabric and the shawl collar give a smart casual feel to my pajama trousers. Next time I want to wear it belted over one of my dresses.

Sorry for the delay in posts, the humidity in Dubai is so bad that you can’t stand outside for more than five minutes. I had to take these at 7.30 in the morning, I’ll be so happy when winter finally arrives.

If you follow my blog, you know I don’t own many black items of clothing. But for AW it’s one of the main colours, and I am in love with all the brocade and heavily embellished pieces. When I spotted these trousers in Massimo at the weekend I knew they would work with the cape I already own. I can’t wait to rework them with my print blouses.

I loved the printed pj style trousers that I got earlier this year so much that when I saw this plain red pair I couldn’t resist. They tick my red box for this season’s trend and were perfect for store visits today.

I also got a new ring to add my jewellery menagerie, and I now have a little fox. When it comes to jewellery do you have a go to style/shape?

I’m so excited that I’m going on holiday today, first stop UK followed by Croatia. But the downside to going on holiday is getting all my work done before I go. Pairing things I haven’t worn together, gave me a much needed boost to get through the day :-) .

This high waisted sequin pencil skirt, paired with a light silk blouse, helps me stay cool in the sticky heat. The Chanel classic flap keeps the look quite tonal, my version of a power suit :-) .
