I’m still loving the new job, and yesterday I got to love it a little bit more. An unexpected perk is that I was invited to a Chanel private sale. The doors were meant to open at 10.00 am and even though I love Chanel I didn’t want to come across as too eager. So I arrived at 9.15, big mistake, huge, major. I don’t know what I was thinking. For all H&M collaborations I have been in the queue hours before the door opened. So why did I think for this I didn’t have too? It was a rookie mistake, and I should have known better.
Having said that I didn’t give up, I waited in the queue praying that people wouldn’t be greedy and that there would be a little something left for me. But by the time I got in there, there wasn’t much left, just my sad little face. So I immersed myself in the jewellery section and contemplated on my game plan.
I picked up this necklace first, and I think Coco looks very chic here.

I then found this gorgeous bracelet, and I knew there was a reason why I didn’t get the Anna D H&M coral bracelet. I was meant to get this one instead
.

My final jewellery purchase were these three brooches. How cool are they? I can’t wait to wear these in my next outfit posts I’m feeling very inspired by Coco.
Before leaving I decided to do walk around just in case people had changed their minds about their planned purchases. I spent at least 20 minutes stalking anyone that had a bag I liked. But the minute people are wavering and they know you want it, they stop wavering. So I gave up, and then I got very, very lucky. The spot where I was standing a girl was giving back the bag I had been stalking people for. Her reason the clasp was broken and it could take months for it to be fixed. The second her hand was no longer on the bag, mine was already on it.

I won’t be able to do any outfit posts with her as she is now getting fixed, but isn’t she beautiful. I have another private sale next weekend and I have week to work on my game plan. Here is what I’ve come up with:
1. Arrive early – don’t worry about what anyone else thinks (I didn’t do this)
2. Bring cash, that way you will not be tempted to spend more than you can afford and you will only buy what you love (I did this)
3. If you see something you really want, but someone else has it. Don’t be afraid to politely ask them that if they change their minds, to give you first dibs on it (I did this)
4. Dress comfortably, this may take a few hours to get what you want (I did this)
I managed 3 out of the 4 yesterday, which isn’t that bad. Let me know if you have any good tips that I can add to this.
